Our History
Founded in 1993 in San Pedro de Vilcabamba, Ecuador, the Colinas Verdes Foundation began as a collective of environmental activists dedicated to conserving Podocarpus National Park and supporting local farming communities. Gaining legal recognition from the Ministry of Agriculture in 1994, the organization has since implemented numerous initiatives that improve the standard of living for local communities while prioritizing environmental conservation.
In 1995, Colinas Verdes secured funding for its first project and has continued to make a lasting impact through educational seminars, technical support, and sustainable development projects.
